The truck continued into a dirt embankment causing moderate damage to the front of the truck.
The driver sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision. He was also arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and was taken to Sutter Amador for treatment of his injuries.
Hwy 88 was closed for less than 30 minutes. Caltrans and clean up crews spent multiple hours at the collision scene cleaning up the spilled load.
