Jamestown, CA…Early this morning, our deputies responded to Chip’s Chevron in Jamestown for a report of a white Toyota truck abandoned in the carwash.
When deputies arrived, they found evidence of a plan that went awry. An attempt to rip the carwash cash machine out of the ground by using a large chain attached to the bumper of the truck had failed.
During the initial investigation, deputies learned a woman and two masked men in a stolen truck attempted to take off with the machine and fled the area when the truck stalled.
Deputies located 45-year-old Narrie Alfaro nearby and determined she was the woman involved with the caper. She was arrested and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, attempted grand theft, vandalism, conspiracy, and possession of burglary tools.
The investigation is ongoing and we are seeking the identities of the two male suspects involved.
