Disturbance at Railtown Motel Leads to Arrest on Drug Charges

Jamestown, CA…Yesterday morning, Deputies responded to the Railtown Motel in Jamestown regarding a person who was out of control and yelling at the manager. When deputies arrived, 39-year-old Joshua Kaufman and his friends were being asked to vacate the motel per management.

A records check confirmed Kaufman is on probation and wanted for failing to appear on several charges of drug possession and drug sales.

A search of Kaufman turned up methamphetamine, a digital scale, numerous baggies, a methamphetamine smoking pipe and cash. Kaufman was arrested and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for drug possession with intent to sell and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia.
