Domestic Violence Arrest in Sonora

Sonora, CA….On 03-06-18, around 11:00 p.m., Sonora Police Department officers responded to the area of Bulwer Street and South Washington Street for a report of a domestic violence incident. Through their investigation, officers discovered that Devon Leigh Martin, age 25 of Sonora, grabbed his ex-girlfriend by the arms during an argument on 03-04-18, causing minor injury to her shoulder. It was also learned that Martin and his ex-girlfriend were involved in another physical disturbance in front of Winters Tavern on 03-05-18. Immediately following this incident, Martin scratched the side of his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle with a knife, causing damage estimated to be in excess of $1,000.

Martin was later located at a residence on Olive Street By Officer Brandow and arrested for felony domestic battery with injury and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail. He is also facing charges for felony vandalism.
