Ione, CA…From the Amador DA’s Office….The City of Ione Police Department invited us to present at their Citizen Police Academy last Thursday night, and we were happy to oblige. Chief Assistant District Attorney Robert Trudgen provided an overview of the DA’s role in the criminal justice system and their relationship with law enforcement, and Investigator Gary Stevens discussed the investigation of the Days Inn murder case out of Sutter Creek, in which Justin Bergo was convicted of killing his mother and sentenced to life in prison.
