Calaveras Big Trees State Park Summer Programs and Events 2015 Weekends only: May 23 – June 14 Daily: June 15 – August 16 Weekends only: August 22 – September 7

Arnold, CA….Jr. Ranger: Calling all 7-12 year olds! Meet us behind the old Visitor Center at 10:00 AM for an hour. Earn mementos and learn about the park.

Jr. Cub: Our 3- 6 year old friends and their designated adults are invited to join us behind the Visitor Center on most summer mornings at 10:00 AM for up to an hour. Learn about the park with age-appropriate activities.
North Grove Guided Walks: Meet in front of the Visitor Center at 1:00 PM for a walk through the historic North Grove of Giant Sequoias. Walks last 1.5 – 2 hours and travel 1.5 miles on gentle terrain.
Evening Programs: Campfire programs, Night hikes, and Astronomy programs are offered several nights a week. Look for
the posted schedule for details.

Creek Critters: Meet at the Beaver Creek Picnic Area to explore aquatic life. Tuesdays at 1:00 PM. Check the posted schedule for details.
Check the whiteboards at the Visitor Center and park entrance for additions or changes to this schedule.

June 5-7 -Natural History Discovery Program
CBTA is excited to offer this outstanding program again this summer. Here is your chance to immerse yourself in the Natural History of the Sierra Nevada in Calaveras Big Trees State Park.  Cost:  $135 for CBTA members – $150 for non-members. June 6 – Summer Concert in the Park
Please join us at Jack Knight Hall in Calaveras Big Trees State Park for amazing music by the local favorite, hors d’oeuvres and  fine local wines. Cantamos – Michela Macfarlane and Cantamos highlight their musical dexterity by moving from arias, traditional Latin songs and musicals, to contemporary favorites. Their music moves seamlessly from English to Italian, Spanish to French to Portuguese, and back again. Tickets $30.  (Tickets purchased online include Park entrance fee).
