Murphys, CA…Soroptimist International of Calaveras County is busy preparing for their 8th Annual Chili Cook Off held at the Historic Murphy’s Hotel on Saturday, May 5! Tasters and Cookers come together on the Hotel lawn for this fun event from 11 am to 2 pm with live music from Plan B Band! This year’s theme “Twisted, Silly or Gourmet Chili” promises great $10. Chili tasting.

Trophies go to Best Judged Chili and People’s Choice Best Chili plus best overall theme and costumes.L New this year an award goes to the Taster who comes in the silliest costume! 2 fabulous Raffle Baskets valued at $500.00 each from SICC Members & local Sponsors plus an Event Gift from Ironstone Winery add to the excitement!
