Murphys, CA…John Edward Steele, June 28,1936 – April 11,2018. With great sadness we announce the passing of our father John Edward Steele, at age 82, of Murphys, Ca. John went to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ, on April 11, 2018 with his family by his side. He was born to the late Addison and Viola Steele, on June 28, 1936, in Liberty, New York. John graduated in 1955 from Watsonville High School. He worked most of his life as a Carpenter and Baker. He was also a Mason most of his adult life. He lived mostly in Aromas, Milpitas, and San Jose, then retired to Arnold, Ca.

He was survived by 2 brothers, 1 sister, 7 children, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A graveside service will be at Buena Vista Cemetery in Murphys, Ca at 11:00am, Saturday May 12, 2018. Celebration of life to follow at Murphys Community Park 505 Algiers St., Murphys.
