Saturdays in Murphys – Walking Tours of Historic Downtown Murphys are available at no charge (donations gratefully accepted) on Saturday mornings at 10am leaving from the Old Timers Museum. January 30 – April 29, 2018 – Cattle in the Sierras Exhibit at the Old Timers Museum – Funded by a California Stories grant from California Humanities, the Murphys Old Timers Museum, has produced an exhibit on the long-established practice of transhumance in the California Foothills and Sierra Nevada. May 12, 2018 – The Twisted Concert Series Kicks off with Trio Brasileiro – Seating is “festival style”. Bring your chair or blanket. At all events, we have Twisted Oak Wine, water, soft drinks, a dinner selection, and popcorn available for purchase. You can bring in your own food and beverage, but please do not bring in any outside alcoholic beverages as our license does not allow it. It’s going to be an incredible twisted summer! May 16, 2018 – Grand Tasting Event – Be the first to taste the best-in-show, double-gold and gold-medal winners of the 2018 Sierra Foothills Wine Competition. The Calaveras Winegrape Alliance (CWA) in partnership with the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce and the Calaveras County Fairgrounds will be hosting a Grand Tasting Wine Event at 6pm on Wednesday in the Wine Pavillion at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds. This event will kick off the Calaveras County Fair and recognize the accomplishments of the Calaveras County gold-medal winners by offering tastings of the winning wines as well as delectable catered appetizers. Tickets must be purchased at www.calaveraswines.org or through the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce website at www.calaveras.org. The event will be held at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds Wine Pavilion located at 101 Frog Town Road in Angels Camp from 6pm-8pm.

May 17-20, 2018 – The Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee is one of the longest running events in the State of California. Its earliest roots date back to 1893, held that year in Copperopolis, the fair eventually found a permanent home outside of Angels Camp. In the spirit of the old movie classic “State Fair,” the Calaveras County Fair is a blend of entertainment, exhibits, livestock, arena events, great food and our signature event, the Frog Jump.
