Angels Camp, CA…Bret Harte will be holding a ceremony to celebrate student athlete Nick Kristoff’s signed letter of intent to pursue his athletic and academic interests at the collegiate level on Wednesday, May 9, 2018. Senior Nick Kristoff signed with Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, where he will be playing golf. Kristoff, in his fourth year on the varsity boys golf team, greatly contributed to the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division V championship teams in 2016 and 2017, as well as three Mother Lode League championship titles in 2016, 2017 and now 2018. Yesterday, Kristoff led his teammates to their first place finish at the Mother Lode League end of season tournament clinching their perfect season with a match record of 12-0. The team will compete in the Section Division V championship match on Monday, May 7 attempting to bring back another Section crown.
“Nick practiced very hard this year and it showed on the course. It was a joy to coach him these past four years. I am very proud of him and wish him the best in his next journey,” said Rich Cathcart, boys golf coach.
Kristoff has added to his accolades the Mother Lode League MVP title for the 2018 season, along with being named All-League in his sophomore and junior years.

The celebratory ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 1:00 PM in Bret Harte’s lower gym. All visitors must check in at the school office.
