Arnold, CA…We’re back for another great race! Join us in this one-mile race that occurs immediately before the Arnold Independence Day parade and celebrate July 4th mountain style! This is a fundraiser for Hazel Fischer Elementary School’s Parents Club, and all ages are welcome to participate. How fast can you run a mile?
Once an Arnold Independence Day Parade tradition, the Firecracker Mile is a mile race that kicks off the Independence Day parade, beginning at the Arnold Byway and ending at Cedar Center. It’s a great way to participate in the parade if you’re not already on a float, and we hope you’ll join us as we promote fitness and raise money for Hazel Fischer Elementary Parents Club.
Registration will be $5 for ages 4 and under ($10 after June 21), $10 for everyone else ($15 after June 21). Minors must be registered by a parent or guardian. Sorry but there will be no refunds if you cannot race. Runners and walkers have three opportunities to register: (1) online through July 5, (2) in person from 4 – 6 pm July 6 at Big Trees Market, or (3) in person the morning of the race. All participants registered before June 22 will be guaranteed their preferred t-shirt size. All other participants will be given shirts on a first come, first served basis, so it is to your benefit to register early.
Big Trees Fitness has offered to let anyone who participates in the Firecracker Mile swim free on race weekend (July 7 or 8). Simply show your race tshirt and you get to swim!
