Hospital Foundation Announces Winners of the Barger 2018 Golf Outing

Angels Camp, CA…The 11th annual Barger Golf Outing was held on Monday, June 4th at Greenhorn Creek Resort. The annual charity tournament attracted 120 golfers who competed in a modified scramble with scoring based on the “blind bogie” method. The day’s activities raised $60,000 bringing the cumulative event total to more than a half a million dollars. All proceeds from the tournament benefited the Mark Twain Medical Center Foundation’s Women’s Health Fund.

Tournament winners were:

Low Net 3rd Place – Greg Smith, Brec Woodbridge, Bob O’neill and John Depoli with a score of 68.

Low Net 2nd Place – Bill Ratterman, Scott Ratterman, Mike Phillips and Roark Weber with a tying score of 68. The tie was broken by a “card off” per USGA rules of golf.

Low Net 1st Place – Don Pulliam, Jim Dillashaw, Bill Branner and John Paul with a score pf 63.

Low Gross 1st Place Women – Caroline Sender, Debbie Weyrauch, Linda Maxon and Jan Hew with a score of 71.

Low Gross 1st Place Men – Greg Jordan, Carl Smith, Geoff Smith and Jon Pratt with a score of 58.

The tournament committee would like to thank the many sponsors of the event. Golf Level sponsors were Bank of Stockton, Optum360, Yosemite Pathology Medical Group, MACT Health Board, Inc, Aspen Street Architects, Inc and the Medical Staff at Mark Twain Medical Center.

The Women’s Health Fund at the hospital Foundation provides funding for technology and programs directed towards women. Proceeds from previous Barger Golf Outings have purchased digital mammography technology and supported Women’s Heart Month and FREE Lipid Panels for women in Calaveras County.
