Arnold, CA…The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform road construction including tree removal of dead and dying trees on eastbound and westbound State Route 4 (SR-4) from the Arnold Byway to the Calaveras/Alpine county line. Work will occur as follows: One-way traffic control will be in effect on eastbound and westbound SR-4 from upper Moran Road to the Calaveras Big Trees State Park entrance beginning Monday, July 16, 2018, through Friday, July 20, 2018, from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. for construction work.
One-way traffic control will be in effect on eastbound and westbound SR-4 from the Arnold Byway to Cottage Springs beginning Monday, July 16, 2018, through Friday, July 20, 2018, from 6:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. for tree removal work.
One-way traffic control will be in effect on eastbound and westbound SR-4 from Dorrington to Cabbage Patch beginning Monday, July 16, 2018, through Friday, July 20, 2018, from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. for shoulder work.
Motorists should expect 10 minute delays at each location. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.
This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials and construction related issues.
