Valley Springs, CA…The 2nd annual Calaveras Wine, Cheese and Olive Festival is back bigger and even better August 4th at the LaContenta Golf Club in Valley Springs. Nestled at the base of the Gold Country foothills, this new, popular festival celebrates the Good Life the miners enjoyed with their riches: Wine, Olives and Cheese. Foothill wineries, some whose grapes harken back to the Gold Rush days, will be pouring their best vintages. Cheese and Olive purveyors, several local to the area, will be offering delicious samples of their craft. Live music and a silent auction will round out the evening.

The Rotary Club of San Andreas produces this festival with volunteer help. Proceeds from this year’s event will go toward the Meals on Wheels program of Common Ground Senior Services and other Rotary projects.
