Traffic & Ferguson Fire Update on Hwy 120 Closure South of Crane Flat

Groveland, CA…Highway Closure and Advisory: Highway 120 is closed South of Crane Flat Road due to a spot fire that broke out at 5 AM this morning. Due to the 40 acre spot fire in the Ned’s Gulch area, our office is issuing an Evacuation Advisory for the areas East of Cherry Lake Road which includes; Camp Mather, Rush Creek Lodge, Evergreen Lodge, Spinning Wheel, Yosemite Lake/Thousand Trails Campground, Sawmill Mountain, Camp Tawonga, Peach Growers, Berkeley Camp, This is an advisement only of a potential Evacuation Order, should conditions change.

An advisory means there is potential for evacuation and residents should be prepared to evacuate if evacuation orders are necessary.

Our office continues to work closely with USFS and CalFire in monitoring fire activity. Fire officials have delegated all resources available and are confident in their strategy to contain the spot fire.

In the event an evacuation is needed we will issue further orders.
