Vallecito, CA…The Parrots Fire is approximately 135 acres and 5% contained. Air and ground resources working together effectively. Heavy fuels and tough topography. They are making good progress. The battle for the firefighters will be to keep it corralled as the winds shift and temps climb for the rest of the day. The next few hours are critical for this incident. If they can keep making progress the next couple of hours they may be able to put this one at least from a threat perspective in the rear view mirror.
