Sonora, CA…From the Tuolumne Sheriff’s Dept….”Congratulations to Deputy Andrew Long who successfully completed the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Field Training Program. Deputy Long grew up in Tuolumne County and graduated from Sonora High School. He joined the military after graduation and served as a Navy Corpsman for seven years. During that time he completed a tour in Afghanistan with the Marine Corp and authored a book on lessons learned from emergency and combat first aid which went on to be used in a course taught to Navy Corpsman on the West Coast.
Andrew Long holds a Bachelor’s Degree in homeland security and emergency management.

He joined our agency in 2015, successfully completed the POST Academy and served as a Jail Deputy and CPR/First Aid instructor.

We now welcome him to our Patrol Division and know he will do a wonderful job serving our community.”
