Sonora, CA… On 7/7/15 about 12:00 P.M., Agents from the Tuolumne Narcotics Team (TNT), with the assistance of Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies, and Federal DEA Investigators arrested Lori Beth Sostock, MD and Vanessa Lynn Sostock (Office Manager) both of Sonora at Dr. Sostock’s Medical Office in the 800 block of Delnero Drive in the City of Sonora…

The arrests stemmed from a seven month investigation and culminated in a combined 56 felony counts ranging from Conspiracy to commit sales or furnishing of controlled substances, illegal prescribing of controlled substances, to practicing medicine and/or prescribing controlled substances without a license.

During this investigation, multiple search warrants were issued and served at Dr. Sostock’s medical practice and her residence in the 600 block of Daybreak Ct. Sonora, CA. This investigation has paralleled an ongoing investigation in Dr. Sostock’s Medical Practice by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, State Medical Board and the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Both Lori Beth Sostock MD and Vanessa Lynn Sostock were booked into the Tuolumne County Jail. DR. Sostock’s bail was set at 200,000 and Vanessa Sostock’s bail was set at 100,000 dollars. As of 9:00 A.M. on 7/8/15 both suspects are still in custody at the Tuolumne County Jail.

This is an on going multi agency investigation. No other information regarding this case will be released at this time.
