Angels Camp, CA…As a result of recent staffing changes at the Angels Camp Police Department, the City of Angels will be contracting with the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office for supplemental law enforcement services beginning October 1, 2018.
The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office will provide deputies to the City of Angels to work with Angels Camp Police Officers to cover law enforcement responses inside the City limits from October 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019. The City anticipates resuming all law enforcemen t responses inside the City limits by July 1, 2019 when two recently hired recruits complete their required training.
There will be no changes in the way citizens report crimes to the Angels Camp Police Department. Citizens are encouraged to call 911 to report an emergency or in-progress crime, and to call (209) 736-2567 to report a non-emergency crime.
The City and County remain committed to public safety and we are proud of the collaboration and support of the City Police Department and the County Sheriff’s Office.
