Sonora, CA…From the Sonora Police Dept…”September 26th was a busy night for our evening shift who investigated two DUI collisions and a hit and run collision. The first DUI collision occurred about twenty minutes before 8:00 p.m. on Fairview Lane when 42-year-old Rania Gladysz of Sonora drove her white Toyota Tacoma into a parked car while pulling into the apartment complex at the 300 block of Fairview Lane. Gladysz was located on scene and her blood alcohol level was determined to be well over the legal limit. She was booked at the county jail for DUI.

The second DUI collision occurred just after 10:00 p.m. when a white Toyota Camry traveling northbound collided with a parked vehicle on Stewart Street near Cowan Street. The driver, 23-year-old Zachary Moore of Murphy’s, was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and booked at the county jail for DUI as well.

We are also investigating a hit and run collision that occurred around midnight on South Stewart Street near the Lytton Street intersection.
