LEAD AGENCY: Calaveras County Planning Department, 891 Mountain Ranch Rd., San Andreas, CA 95249. 2018-032 General Plan Amendment, Zoning Amendment and Agriculture Preserve Application for William and Delores Airola The application includes the rescission of the Development Agreement for the Oak Canyon Ranch Specific Plan, a General plan Amendment from Oak Canyon Ranch Specific Plan to Natural Resource Lands, Agriculture Preserve, a Zoning Amendment from Single Family Residential (SFR) / Resort/Commercial (RES) / Open Space (OS) / Recreation (REC) / Public Service (PS) and General Agriculture (A1) to Agriculture Preserve (AP) for the purpose of establishing Williamson Act Contract No. 354 for 3,256.78 acres in Copperopolis. The 3,256.93-acre ranch is comprised of seventeen (17) parcels, APN: 054-006-014, 011, 018, 039, 040, 041, 043, 044, 035, 053-017-010, 009, 008, 007, 053-016-012, 011, 053-015-014 & 054-003-011 (lake). The subject parcels encompass all of Sections 9, and 16 and a portion of Sections 4, 5, 6, 10 and 15, T01N, R12E, MDM. Pursuant to Section 15317 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) guidelines, a Notice of Exemption is intended to be filed for this project.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Calaveras County Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at 9:00 a. m. or soon thereafter to consider the above referenced appeal. The public hearing will be held in the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors Chambers, Government Center, 891 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas, California.

Pursuant to Government Code 65009, if anyone challenges the above listed issues in a court of law, the challenge may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raise at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Commission, at or prior to, the public hearing. You are welcome to review the application at the Calaveras County Planning Department during normal working hours, 8:00 a. m. to 4:00 p. m., Monday through Friday except county holidays.
