CALAVERAS COUNTY — The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform
one-way traffic control at various locations on eastbound and westbound State Route 4 (SR-4)
from the Cherokee Creek Bridge west of Angels Camp to the Calaveras/Alpine County line.
Work will occur as follows:
• One-way traffic control will be in effect on eastbound and westbound SR-4 from the
Cherokee Creek bridge to Stallion Way beginning Monday, October 8, 2018, through
Friday, October 12, 2018, from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. for drainage work.
• One-way traffic control will be in effect on eastbound and westbound SR-4 from Vallecito
Road to the Arnold Byway beginning Monday, October 8, 2018, through Saturday,
October 13, 2018, from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. for tree work.
• One-way traffic control will be in effect on eastbound and westbound SR-4 from Avery to
the Calaveras/Alpine County line beginning Monday, October 8, 2018, through
Thursday, October 11, 2018, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. for pavement striping.
• One-way traffic control will be in effect on eastbound and westbound SR-4 from Avery
Hotel Road to Meadowview Road beginning Monday, October 8, 2018, through Friday,
October 12, 2018, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for drainage work.
• One-way traffic control will be in effect on eastbound and westbound SR-4 from upper
Moran Road to the Calaveras Big Trees State Park entrance beginning Monday,
October 8, 2018, through Friday, October 12, 2018, from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. for
construction.
• One-way traffic control will be in effect on eastbound and westbound SR-4 from Big
Trees Park entrance to Big Trees Village Drive on Saturday, October 13, 2018, from
8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for drainage work.
• One-way traffic control will be in effect on eastbound and westbound SR-4 from Ganns
Meadow Drive to Cabbage Patch Road on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, from 8:00
a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for drainage work.

Sherman Acres to the Calaveras/Alpine County line on Tuesday, October 11, 2018, from
8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for drainage work.
Motorists should expect 10 minute delays at each location. Alternate routes should be taken
whenever possible.
This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents,
weather, availability of equipment and/or materials and construction related issues.
