Notice of Current Secured Property Taxes Due

San Andreas, CA…NOTICE OF CURRENT SECURED PROPERTY TAXES DUE Made pursuant to Section 2609, Revenue and Taxation Code. Barbara Sullivan, Calaveras County Tax Collector, hereby announces that regular secured property tax bills will be mailed on or before November 1, 2018 to all property owners, at the addresses shown on the tax roll. If you own property in Calaveras County and do not receive a tax bill by November 1, 2018, contact the Tax Collector’s office, at 891 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas, CA 95249 or call 209-754-6350. Failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve the taxpayer of the responsibility to make timely payments.

The FIRST INSTALLMENT of the 2018-2019 taxes are due and payable on November 1, 2018 and will become delinquent if not paid by 5:00 p.m. on December 10, 2018; thereafter a 10% penalty will be added. The SECOND INSTALLMENT is due on February 1, 2019 and will become delinquent if not paid by 5:00 p.m. on April 10, 2019; thereafter a 10% penalty will be added plus the $20.00 cost to prepare the delinquent tax records and to give notice of delinquency. Should the delinquent date fall on a Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday, the time for payment is extended to the next business day.

BOTH INSTALLMENTS MAY BE PAID when the first installment is due.

Payments by mail should be sent to CALAVERAS COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR, 891 Mountain Ranch Road, Suite 2, San Andreas, CA 95249. Mailed payments must be POSTMARKED WITH A U.S. POSTAL SERVICE POSTMARK BY THE DELINQUENT DATE to avoid late penalties. So be sure to MAIL EARLY! Payments may also be made in person at the Calaveras County Tax Collector’s office, 891 Mountain Ranch Road, Suite 2, San Andreas, CA 95249, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, holidays excepted. Payments may also be placed in the Tax Collector’s secure lock box located in the Government Center parking.
