Sonora, CA…From the Tuolumne Sheriff’s Dept…”A week-long investigation by Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office Detectives has ended in an arrest for the killing of a Jupiter man. On the evening of October 16th, deputies were called out to a home on Italian Bar Road near Rose Creek for a report of a man who had been shot. 31-year-old Scott Andrew Rockey was found dead outside his home.

Last night, deputies arrested 23-year-old Matthew Grogg, a resident of the Jupiter area. Detectives were assisted by Narcotics Detectives, the High Risk Supervision Team and the Crisis Response Unit.

At this time, we are not releasing specific details or motive for the killing while detectives continue their investigation.
