Hey Good People! Several Feet of “Pure Mountain Fun” on the Way to Bear Valley. ~ Mattly Trent

Bear Valley, CA…Hey Good People! Well….here we go! A strong system with heavy snowfall is in effect as yesterday the initial showing gave us about 6/10th’s of an inch of rain at the resort with the warm front temps and a bit of an inversion left the town of Bear Valley with and inch or so of new snow. Today a high of 38F is expected with SSW winds from 9-13mph with gusts into the 20’s. 6-10″ of snow is expected today and 7-11″ tonight and a whopping 11-17″ expected during the day Thursday!!! Friday during the day things will slow down a bit then Friday night 4-8″ is expected before the system makes it’s way East. The important thing here is temps and elevation for snowfall. Higher snowfall elevations at first will only compliment last weeks snowfall as the heavier denser snow will pack in naturally and as the storm progresses we’ll see colder temps continue and drop the snow level to 6000 by Thursday morning and then 4000′ by Saturday. Next week looks to continue with this pattern and snowfall could go as low as 3000′ by next Tuesday. The storm door is open and I expect good coverage for lower elevations. Stay tuned as we will be opening more terrain for the coming weekend. As always we’re about “Pure Mtn Fun” .
