Traffic Update….One Way Traffic Controls on Hwy 49 In Tuolumne County

TUOLUMNE COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various highway construction activities on northbound and southbound State Route 49 (SR-49) from the Mariposa/Tuolumne county line to the Tuolumne/Calaveras county line. Work will occur as follows:

• One-way traffic control on northbound and southbound SR-49 from the Mariposa/Tuolumne county line to Montezuma Road beginning Monday, December 10, 2018, through Friday, December 14, 2018, from 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. for striping.

• Intermittent one-way traffic control on northbound and southbound SR-49 from SR-120 to the Tuolumne/Calaveras county line beginning Monday, December 10, 2018, through Friday, December 14, 2018, from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. for shoulder work.

• One-way traffic control on northbound and southbound SR-49 from Jack Page Road to the Tuolumne/Calaveras county line beginning Monday, December 10, 2018, through Friday, December 14, 2018, from 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. for striping.

• #1 (right) of 2 lanes and shoulder on northbound and southbound SR-49 from the Sonora Creek Bridge to Washington Street beginning Wednesday, December 12, 2018, through Friday, December 14, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. for survey work.

• #1 (right) of 2 lanes and shoulder on northbound and southbound SR-49 from the Sonora Creek Bridge to Washington Street beginning Thursday, December 13, 2018, through Friday, December 14, 2018, from 9:30 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. for survey work.

Motorists should expect delays of 15 minute delays.
This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
