Hey Good People!! This Storm Has Brought 13 Inches of Fresh Powder So Far to Bear Valley! ~ Mattly Trent

Bear Valley, CA…Hey Good People! The current system is dropping good amounts of new snow in the Sierra. We picked up 10″ overnight as of 4am and 13″ so far for the storm total. Wind values have been a little less overnight but redistribution on the hill will give way to some deeper totals today and through tomorrow. Breezy conditions will continue today with a South wind from 20-26mph with gusts upwards of 40mph. 10-16″ of new snow is still expected to fall today and tonight a possible whopping 14-20″ as the system digs in and pulls good moisture off of the Pacific. Surface gradients will increase and winds could see the 50mph range later tonight. Unsettled snowy weather will continue through the week and into next weekend with Tuesday and Wednesday squeaking out another foot of snow possibly. We’ll see a rise in snowfall elevations by late Monday up to 6000′. It’s time for some POW riding my friends so come on up and enjoy some “Pure Mtn Fun”.

Sunday
Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 29. Breezy, with a south wind 20 to 26 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 10 to 16 inches possible.

Sunday Night
Snow before 10pm, then snow showers after 10pm. The snow could be heavy at times. Temperature rising to around 33 by midnight. Windy, with a south wind 30 to 32 mph, with gusts as high as 49 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 14 to 20 inches possible.

Peace Out,

Mattly
