Vallecito, CA…The County is working to reopen the facility as quickly as possible and still provide necessary improvements & repairs for the operations of the site. The County is going to be making repairs and improvements to the current water system. These improvements will need to be brought before the Board of Supervisors for approval. Once these action items are completed, the County will be grading the site to improve and enlarge the yard waste
collection area.

All other County facilities continue to be open their normal operating hours during this
closure.

 All Residential loads of yard waste can be taken to the Rock Creek Solid Waste Facility
or to Miller Rock & Wood.
 Any appliances, electronics, tires, batteries, oil, antifreeze or filters can be taken to the
Gambi Disposal yard in San Andreas or the Rock Creek Solid Waste Facility.
 Any latex paints can be taken to the Rock Creek Solid Waste Facility.
