LEAD AGENCY: Calaveras County Planning Department, 891 Mountain Ranch Rd., San Andreas, CA 95249. 2018-024 GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT, ZONING AMENDMENT, CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT & PLANNED DEVELOPMENT FOR THE CALAVERAS HUMANE SOCIETY The project includes a General Plan Amendment from the current City of Angels Sphere of Influence, Residential Suburban to Commercial-Recreation, a Zoning Amendment from General Commercial – Planned Development (C2-PD) to Rural Commercial – Planned Development (RC-PD), and a Conditional Use Permit and Planned Development Permit to convert the exiting building to an animal shelter for the Calaveras County Humane Society. The property is located at 1209 Hwy 49, approximately 1.5 miles northwest of the intersection of SR49 and SR4 in Angels Camp. APN: 058-001-009 is a 0.49-acre parcel located in a portion of Section 19, T03N, R13E, MDM. Pursuant to CEQA guidelines, a Notice of Exemption has been prepared for the proposed project.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Calaveras County Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 9:00 a. m. or soon thereafter to consider the above referenced project. The public hearing will be held in the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors Chambers, Government Center, 891 Mt. Ranch Road, San Andreas, California.

Pursuant to Government Code 65009, if anyone challenges the above listed issues in a court of law, the challenge may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raise at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Commission, at or prior to, the public hearing. You are welcome to review the application at the Calaveras County Planning Department during normal working hours, 8:00 a. m. to 4:00 p. m., Monday through Friday except county holidays.
