Groveland, CA…Suspicious death being investigated in Groveland Area. From the Tuolumne Sheriff’s Dept..”At about 7:16 pm, Sheriff’s Detectives completed processing the scene for evidence. Several individuals have been interviewed by detectives. The investigation remains active and is still considered a suspicious death pending an autopsy.

All closures have been lifted from Smith Station Road.

Sheriff’s Detectives are investigating a suspicious death in the Groveland, CA area.

At 8:00 a.m. this morning, the Sheriff’s communication center received a call for service, regarding a female who suffered a gunshot wound. Deputies arrived at the scene and found the female victim deceased.

Sheriff’s Detectives are treating the situation as a suspicious death and actively pursuing all leads. We urge anyone with information to call the Sheriff’s Communication Center at: 209-533-5815.
