Copperopolis, CA…Mr. Rabeneau was driving his 1973 Chevrolet truck north on Little John Road north of Bow Drive at 55 miles per hour. A 75 year old pedestrian, Mr. Best, was walking north, near the right hand road edge of Little John Road. For an unknown reason, the front of the Chevrolet struck Mr. Best, causing fatal injuries. Mr. Rabeneau immediately returned to the scene and is fully cooperating with the investigation.

The cause of this collision is under investigation.

Drugs and/or alcohol use is not suspected as a factor in this collision.
