Burglary Suspect Caught During Traffic Stop.

Columbia, CA…From the Tuolumne Sheriff’s Dept….”38-year-old Cyrus Cole of Tuolumne, was a suspect in a residential burglary that occurred on S. Airport Road in Columbia on Friday afternoon. Deputy Knapp saw Cole driving his Chevy van on Snell St. in Sonora and conducted a car stop.

Cole was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant and a search of his vehicle was conducted. Heroin and methamphetamine were found inside. Additionally, credit cards, jewelry and identification cards that did not belong to Cole and matched the reported items stolen, were located. Cole admitted to deputies that he took the items from the S. Airport Road home.

Cole was arrested and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for burglary, drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of credit cards and ID cards not belonging to him and failing to appear on drug paraphernalia charges.
