Murphys, CA….Put on your favorite Kentucky Derby Hat and race on down to the Murphys Historic Hotel for the 9th annual Chili Cook Off sponsored by Soroptimist International of Calaveras County! On Saturday, May 4th Chili Cookers and Tasters will gather on the Hotel lawn from 11 am to 2 pm for this fun, family event with live music from Plan B Band! This year’s theme, “Derby DeMayo” will find most everyone in their best Derby Hat enjoying a variety of Chili recipes, with fabulous Raffle Basket opportunities!

Tasting is $10 each, children 6 & under are free with a parent or grandparent ticket. Chili Cooker Trophies are awarded at 2:30 pm plus an award for the Best Derby Theme and Best Derby Hat worn by a Cooker or a Taster!
