Jamestown Woman Arrested on Drug Charges after Traffic Stop

Jamestown, CA…Early Sunday morning, Deputy Waid pulled over a red Dodge Durango on Chicken Ranch Road in Jamestown for expired registration. Deputy Waid talked with the three people inside the vehicle. A records check showed the driver had a suspended license and the passenger was on probation for drug charges. During a search of the vehicle, over 27 grams of methamphetamine was found in a purse belonging to passenger, 58-year-old Joanne Lacy of Jamestown.

The Durango was towed away and the driver was issued a citation for driving with a suspended license, not having valid registration, and not having proof of insurance.

Lacy was arrested and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for possession of a controlled substance for sale.
