Angels Camp, CA…Roberta (Bobbie) Florene Whaley was born on January 24. 1946 and passed away on April 8, 2019. She lived a large part of her life in Calaveras County and was a graduate of Calaveras High School. During her lifetime she lived in Washington, Florida and So. California, as well as Calaveras Co. She was a typesetter in the printing business. working for various newspapers such as The Pasadena Star News, Herald Examiner, Daily Racing Form, and retired from California Office of State Printing.

Roberta loved to travel and visited Mexico several times, Peru, Guatemala, Israel, and had taken some cruises. She also enjoyed antiquing and yard sales. She taught her nieces at a young age how to spot a great bargain. Roberta also was active in the youth programs at her church which she enjoyed very much. Roberta is survived by her brother George Whaley and Laura, sister Brenda Whaley and sister Eloise Cuslidge and Brian, and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service at Foothill Community Church in Angels Camp on Tuesday, April 30 at 1:00. Donations may be made to one’s favorite charity.
