Sonora, CA…From the Tuolumne Sheriff’s Dept…”Thursday afternoon, our office received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway of a home in the 19000 block of Phoenix Lake Road in Sonora. Deputies responded to the home and were told a Toyota 4runner showed up in the driveway while the homeowner was away for a short time. Deputies found the vehicle unoccupied and a pair of sandals left outside the vehicle matched a shoe print on the couch inside the home.
The driver of the Toyota was later identified as 37-year-old Eluterio Galvan of Sonora. Galvan was located by deputies at another home he had burglarized in the same neighborhood, after a call to dispatch was made reporting a nude man wandering the property. Deputies found Galvan unclothed and wearing rubber boots he had stolen from the home.
Several items from the burglaries were located nearby and returned to the rightful owners.
Galvan admitted the sandals were his and he had used methamphetamine. Galvan was transported to Adventist Health Sonora by ambulance for a medical evaluation and was later booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for burglary.
