It’s Time to PARTY for Youth Mentoring! Sunday, May 26, 2019, Vida Buena Farm, Vallecito

Vallecito, CA…Memorial Day weekend boasts more than just garage sales this year…Visitors and community members alike can celebrate Calaveras County’s award-winning Mentoring Program at THE PARTY on Sunday, May 26, 2019, from 6-10pm at Vida Buena Farm, 3286 Vallecito Bypass Road, Vallecito. This year’s theme is “Boots and Bling” and tickets are only $40 per person, available now at CalaverasMentoring.org.

THE PARTY 2019 takes place in the beautiful custom-built barn at Vida Buena Farm, home of Rick and Laura Lowell in Vallecito. Outer Aisle Catering will provide a barbeque feast of chicken, ribs, potatoes, and slaw from locally grown and organic ingredients. Revelers can nibble, mix and mingle at seating scattered throughout the venue, and dance to the swinging California country tunes of Slade Rivers Band. This year’s live auction features at least two memorable dinner parties, a rafting trip with O.A.R.S., and some other surprises in keeping with the theme. Keys to the treasure chest are just $50 for a chance to win a trip to Nashville or New Orleans, designed exclusively for the winner. (Keys are available at the event or by calling 209-736-7706; key holders need not be present to win.)

“We are excited to try this new approach to our PARTY,” said Calaveras Mentoring Foundation President Donna Shannon. “We hope everyone will come out and support our wonderful volunteer mentors and promising kids, and have a great time!”

THE PARTY is the largest annual fundraiser for the Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program. Sponsors already “pardnering up” to make this year’s event a success include Angela and Marv Hanson, Tad and Jane Bottomley-Winans, Mark Twain Medical Center, Mark Twain Health Care District, Dr. William Griffin, Calaveras County Office of Education, Bank of Stockton, Bert and Jane Lucas, Richard and Margaret Mills, Donna Shannon, and John Adams and Rhoda Nussbaum.
