Valley Springs Man Arrested on Warrants & Weapons Charges

Valley Springs, CA…On May 1, 2019 at about 1:30 PM Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Deputies initiated a traffic stop on Pardee Dam Road near Campo Seco Road, Valley Springs. Deputies contacted the driver, Daniel Mantz, (age 35 Valley Springs) and discovered he had multiple warrants, six total, issued from Sacramento and Calaveras Counties. Passenger Angela Lindow (age 32 Valley Springs) was also found to have a misdemeanor warrant issued out of Calaveras County.

During the investigation deputies searched the vehicle and located a loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun, a .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun, .22 caliber ammunition, .40 caliber ammunition, over 100 syringes and a clear plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine.

(SA) Daniel Mantz was arrested for the six felony warrants, 29800(a) PC felon possession of firearms, 30305(a) PC prohibited person in possession of ammunition, 11364(a) H&S possess unlawful paraphernalia and 466 PC possess burglary tools. Daniel Mantz’s total bail is $35,000.00. Angela Lindow was issued a citation for the misdemeanor warrant and released at the scene. This is an ongoing investigation.
