San Andreas, CA…On May 7, 2019 at about 11:10hrs, the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting that a deceased subject had been found in a creek near the 800 block of Main St, Murphys. Responding Deputies learned that citizens had discovered the decedent submerged in the water.

Sheriff’s Detectives processed the scene resulting in the temporary closure of Murphys Grade Road. The decedent is a white male adult believed to be approximately 40 years old. His identity is being withheld pending full notification to family. No further information is being released at this time and the case is being actively investigated.
