Sonora, CA…Around 1:45pm yesterday Sonora PD received a call of a non injury two vehicle accident in the area of E Lyons St and S Stewart St. Officers responded and contacted Kimberly Smock, age 33 of Sonora, who was driving one of the involved vehicles. It was determined that Smock was driving under the influence with a blood alcohol limit over 4x the legal limit. Smock had her children, ages 4 and 6, in the vehicle with her. She was subsequently arrested and booked into Tuolumne County Jail for DUI and Felony Child Endangerment. The children were unharmed and released to a family member.

Previous to this contact Smock was in the area of Arco AM/PM on Pesce way, she collided with another vehicle in that area and then left. The other vehicle has not been identified. If you have information please contact Sonora PD.
