Jackson, CA…On the morning of the 23rd a Pioneer Man was heading south on Hwy 49 in his Honda and a Modesto man was heading northbound in his Chevy Malibu. The Modesto man looked down to adjust his radio and took his eyes off the road for a few seconds. That was enough for his vehicle to drift across the double yellows and into the path of the Honda. The impact sent the Honda down an embankment and its driver to Sutter Roseville with moderate injuries.

The driver of the Malibu sustained minor injuries and was taken to Kaiser South for treatment of what were classified as minor injuries.
