Murphys, CA…All are invited to attend a free Memorial Day Concert, performed by the Calaveras Community Band. The Concert will be held on Monday, May 27, 2019, at 6:30 p.m., at the Murphys Community Park, in honor of the brave men and women who have served, and continue to serve, our country. Bring your friends and family, young and old, two-legged and four-legged, to Murphys Park to enjoy live music on this day of rememberance. The Band will be performing pieces such as “As Time Goes By,” “I Feel Good,” “Brighton Beach, “I Left My Heart In San Francisco,” “Blue Tango,” and, as always, some John Philip Sousa. Something for everyone!

Also, please note that the Band is excited to begin its rehearsals in the Murphys Park starting Monday, May 13 and continuing on most Mondays throughout the Summer months. Informal concerts begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by rehearsal from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come and listen! Bring a picnic dinner and enjoy the live music along with the creek rippling in the background.
