Calaveras Supervisors to Pass Proclamation Recognizing the 2019 Valedictorian & Salutatorian from Bret Harte High School

San Andreas, CA…Proclamation Recognizing the 2019 Valedictorian & Salutatorian from Bret Harte High School. WHEREAS, each year Bret Harte High School selects one student with the highest grade point average to be the Valedictorian, and one student with the second highest grade point average to be the Salutatorian; and WHEREAS, the coursework completed is difficult and the competition for such an honor is highly competitive; and WHEREAS, these students serve as role models for their classmates and underclassmen through exemplifying critical thinking, effective communication, problem solving, and organizational skills;

and WHEREAS, in addition to achieving the highest and second highest class ranks, these students have demonstrated many admirable qualities such as integrity, hard work, determination, and a commitment to excellence throughout their four years in high school; and

WHEREAS, these students are honored at their high school graduation ceremony, but, because the achievement is so significant and worthy of commendation, the Calaveras Board of Supervisors wishes to recognize them as well; and

WHEREAS, the Bret Harte High School Valedictorian for 2019 is Gurlovellen Kaur with a grade point average of 4.372; and

WHEREAS, the Bret Harte High School Salutatorian for 2019 is Leah Jensvold with a grade point average of 4.229.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED, the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors commends these students named as Valedictorian and Salutatorian for 2019 on their impressive accomplishments.
