Sonora, CA…From the Tuolumne Sheriff’s Dept…”Sheriff’s Deputies and Fire Crews responded to the Condo Complex in the Gibbs Ranch Estates at 19849 Villa Drive in Sonora just after 5:30 for reports of a structure fire. One unit was fully engulfed when emergency crews arrived. Deputies have evacuated several units and medical personnel are treating some residents for smoke inhalation.

Cal Fire reports, flames broke out in a room of unit 108 in the condo complex. The occupant of that room was able to escape unharmed.

The Red Cross has been called to help those who have been displaced.”
