San Andreas – On Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 12:46 PM CAL FIRE Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit, Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District and Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a reported wildland fire in the campgrounds at Woodward Reservoir. The fire was contained by bystanders to a 50’ by 50’ spot of vegetation. During the investigation witnesses came forward with information related to a suspect who was still present at the scene. Ronald Zaske, age 65, was identified and arrested for violation of Penal Code §451(c) – Arson to wildland. The case will be submitted to the Stanislaus District Attorney’s Office.
