Meet Sapphire the Calaveras County Animal Services Shelter Pet of the Week (Update…Congratulations Sapphire on a New Home!!)

San Andreas, CA…Meet Sapphire, a Border Collie/Husky mix estimated to be about two years of age. An affectionate dog with excellent leash manners, Sapphire is calm and eager to please. Every dog she meets whether male or female is a new friend to be made. She also adores being petted. Sapphire’s absolute favorite activity, though, is to play with water from a hose. We can easily envision her romping with her special person or family by a backyard pool and being part of summer barbeque fun. This sensitive girl would likely do best in a home with lots of attention where she can feel she truly belongs. Sapphire may also be housebroken as she keeps her kennel clean.

As with all dogs available for adoption at the Calaveras Animal Shelter, Sapphire is micro-chipped, has tested negative for heartworm and is up-to-date on her routine vaccinations. Since she is already spayed, she is ready to go home with you today!

Come visit Sapphire, impound no. AO49742, along with other dogs and cats awaiting their forever homes at Calaveras County Animal Services, 901 Jeff Tuttle Drive, San Andreas (in government center by the new jail).
