Pioneer, CA… State Route 88 in Amador County remains closed at Pioneer to the west and Buckhorn Ridge to the east, with a scheduled opening date of Wednesday, August 12. Passenger vehicles are being detoured from Pioneer to Buckhorn Ridge, but this detour is not available to big rigs. Trucks that continue on SR-88 are being turned around at Climax Road to the west and Dew Drop Road to the east.

Big rigs should avoid using SR-88 and seek alternate routes to reach their destination.
