Apollo is Your Pet of the Week in Calaveras County

San Andreas, CA…Meet Apollo, a lab mix estimated to be 10-12 months of age. If Apollo’s full body wag does not win you over, perhaps his excellent leash manners will. Apollo gets along well with other shelter dogs, rarely barks and is respectful of the office cat. He thoroughly enjoyed his bath and may also be housebroken since he keeps his kennel clean. Apollo also has an equally sweet sister, Moon, and both are available for immediate adoption.

As with all dogs available for adoption at the Calaveras Animal Shelter, Apollo is micro-chipped, has tested negative for heartworm and is up-to-date on his routine vaccinations. Apollo will need to be neutered before going home with you.

Come visit Apollo, impound no. AO49966, along with other dogs and cats awaiting their forever homes at Calaveras County Animal Services, 901 Jeff Tuttle Drive, San Andreas (in government center by the new jail). Animal Services is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday – Saturday (closed for lunch from 1-2 p.m.). For more information about this dog, please email kbandy@co.calaveras.ca.us or svavzincak@co.calaveras.ca.us, or call Animal Services directly at 754-6509. Adoptable animals may also be viewed on the web at http://animal.calaverasgov.us/Adoptions and on the Calaveras County Animal Services Facebook page. Our shelter is also very much in need of volunteers to help care for and socialize both dogs and cats. Please contact kbandy@co.calaveras.ca.us, ejacobs@co.calaveras.ca.us or call the office at 754-6509 if you can help.
