Jackson, CA…Hospice of Amador & Calaveras’ signature fundraising event, the 20th Annual Art Auction, is almost underway, but tickets are going quickly. On Friday, September 20, this popular affair is once again being hosted at Karmère Vineyards & Winery in the Shenandoah Valley. The evening promises an unforgettable experience, including music, wine, food, art, and what could be a record turnout. Tickets and a few tables of four, six or eight are still available, but they will not last long!
This elegant evening, set against the panoramic backdrop of harvest-season vineyards, will begin with a preview of raffle prizes and unique pieces of artwork donated by talented local artists. Guests will nosh on appetizers, sip award-winning Amador County wine, and enjoy the late-summer sunset. A sit-down dinner provided in partnership by The National Hotel & Bistro49 Culinary Laboratory will be followed by a live auction, giving guests an opportunity to take home inspired pieces of art, or perhaps this year’s signature “experience” auction item: a Taste of Spain chef-inspired winemaker dinner for 20 people, featuring traditional paella and Spanish varietals. Donated by Volcano Union Pub + Inn and Bokisch Vineyards.
Local long-time favorite Herb Boxhorn returns to bring his flavor of jazz, swing, and blues with a set list of eclectic music from the thirties to today.
For only $100 per person, guests will experience a delightful and delicious evening, with all proceeds benefiting Hospice of Amador & Calaveras—our region’s only non-profit, independent hospice agency. For more than 35 years, Hospice of Amador & Calaveras has provided families with compassionate end-of-life care for all who need it, regardless of ability to pay.
This event would not be possible without the generous donation of the venue by Karmère Vineyards & Winery, and this year’s Major Sponsors: Sutter Amador Hospital, American Legion Ambulance Service, Horizon Oxygen & Medical Equipment, Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort, and Mark Twain Medical Center.
To order your tickets, call 209-223-5500, or go online to www.hospiceofamador.org. This event regularly sells out, so don’t delay!
