Valley Springs, CA…A Valley Springs man was driving an Infiniti eastbound on State Route 26 west of Gold Creek Drive, at an unknown speed. For reasons still under investigation, he allowed the Infinity to leave the roadway on the south shoulder of State Route 26. This unsafe turn from the highway caused his vehicle to spin out of control before overturning within a dirt field south of State Route 26. As the Infinity overturned, both the driver and his passenger were ejected from inside the vehicle.

The Infinity came to rest on its wheels within a dirt field south of the roadway, The driver came to rest west of the vehicle, and the passenger came to rest west of the driver. Both driver and his passenger sustained major injuries as a result of this collision.

This collision is still under investigation.

The Valley Springs man was arrested at the scene for DUI and he was released to the care of the hospital for treatment of major injuries.
